To define and measure hum modulation in active and passive broadband telecommunicationsequipment. This procedure presents two methods for measuring hum modulation in the timedomain, with a sensitivity exceeding -80 dB. These methods are referred to as the 1 dB delta andthe differential voltage method. A mathematical relationship between time domain andfrequency domain measurement methods is also provided.
