This Practice is written without reference to specific manufacturers, brand names, or model numbers. Industry standards from American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association (BHMA) are used to specify performance and quality requirements for pieces of hardware. Hardware for aluminum entrance doors or specialty doors is not included.
