This document has been prepared to allow toxicological evaluation of the unregulatedcontaminant methyl isoamyl ketone in drinking water, as an extractant from one or moredrinking water system components evaluated under NSF/ANSI 61 (2002), or as a contaminant ina drinking water treatment chemical evaluated under NSF/ANSI 60 (2002). Both non-cancer andcancer endpoints have been considered, and risk assessment methodology developed by the U.S.Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) has been used.
