Formerly S75.19-1995. Establishes requirements and definitions for standard hydrostatic shell testing of control valves to prove structural integrity and leak-tightness of the pressure retaining parts, including closure parts such as the bonnet-to-body joint, but excluding packings, bellows, or other moving seals and packing leak-off connections. The standard applies to control valves having bodies, bonnets, cover plates, and bottom flanges made of carbon steel, low and high alloy stainless steel, nickel base alloy, and cast or ductile iron.
