SCOPE
a. This standard establishes a methodfor conducting hydrostatic shelltesting of pressure regulators havingbodies, bonnets, and spring casesmanufactured from any materials.
b. This standard covers the hydrostatictesting of pressure boundary parts, ascomponents, and regulators that arein an assembled state, for use bymanufacturers, users, specifiers andapproval bodies to validate thestructural integrity and leak tightnessof the regulator's pressure retainingparts for manufacturers.
c. This standard does not cover proofof design hyrdotesting, which isaddressed in ANSI/FCI 79-1-2003
