Specifies design, performance and corresponding test requirements for range hoods intended for household use, containing a fan and motor rated at not more than 500 W and including any associated regulators, for operation on d.c. or 50 Hz a.c. at voltages up to 250 volt. It applies to range hoods intended to filter cooking vapours from the space above a domestic range or cooking top and to either recirculate or exhaust the treated air.
