1. Purpose and Scope
1.1 This test method is for the measurement,evaluation and classification ofliquid moisture management propertiesof textile fabrics. The test method producesobjective measurements of liquidmoisture management properties of knitted,woven and nonwoven textile fabrics.
1.2 The results obtained with this testmethod are based on water resistance,water repellency and water absorptioncharacteristics of the fabric structure, includingthe fabric's geometric andinternal structure and the wicking characteristicsof its fibers and yarns.
