This standard test method is used to determine the ultraviolet radiation blocked or transmitted by textile fabricsintended to be used for UV protection. This method provides procedures for measuring this fabric property withspecimens in either the dry or wet states. The labeling of products with a UV protection (UPF value) is specified inASTM D6603, Standard Guide for Labeling of UV-Protective Textiles.
